ISS Lunar Transit
World’s first ISS Lunar Transit captured on 35mm film.
On new year’s day, 2023 I achieved a shot I have been chasing for almost two years. I spent 8 hours on the road so that I could be positioned in the precise location to observe the International Space Station transiting over the moon.
While almost all of my analog astrophotography is captured over the course of many minutes and even hours, this image captures a moment totalling only 1.6 seconds. 13 frames captured on Kodak P3200 35mm film are presented in this print.
