ISS Solar Transit
World’s first ISS Solar Transit ever captured on 35mm film. Photographed on the 9th of March, 2024 from the South Coast of Australia.
From a precise location on earth, you can occasionally line up the International Space Station with the sun, a brilliant moment in time that demands perfect timing down to the second. While my analog astrophotography exposures typically span many minutes and hours, in this particular instance, the magic was captured in a mere 0.98 seconds. Encapsulated within this print are 8 shot frames, immortalized on Kodak P3200 35mm film, preserving this unique celestial alignment for eternity.
